This review is for The Milkwood Permaculture Living Handbook, written by Kirsten Bradley.

Straight out, I love this book.

The whole book is easy to read, from the actual book size, the layout, the graphics. It’s easy on the eye to follow, ideas are all broken down into habits and there are multiple suggestions for each habit.

The content is wide ranging, which I love, this broad range is integral to holistic sustainable living. There is also a range of practical and theoretical tips, for permaculture living.

I got this book from my local library, but this is a bible that I can see being very well used when bought- it's absolutely worth the investment. I can see it with scuffed cover, muddy pages, in the best way. It is listed as £22 RRP, and I do think this is great value but please do check second hand, as when this was written there were multiple copies at half that price.

I often worry about sharing too much about books that will overshare the content, I want readers to 'find' and experience these books for themselves. And this feels like a great example of not wanting to overshare, or overview. I LOVE this book and really recommend. This would be a great book when starting out on your eco living journey, it would be a great centre point. It would make a fantastic gift too.
